Armand,
Sounds like typical factory parts to me. The front
brake parts on my 98 were junk when I bought the
bike (new). The original tires only have 7300 miles
on them, and they need replacing, DESPERATELY! The
tread is perfect, still have mold nubs on the sidewalls,
but they are too badly cracked to safely run. Next
set will not be the cheap shit IRC tires it came
with. Metzeler, Firestone, Dunlop or Avon, only.
No Asian or Mexican made tires for me; I value
my skin too much for that. Don't want to ruin my
available tattooing canvas. 8)

PS: If you like the vintage look of these bikes,
go for the Firestones. 1930's- 1960's tread patterns
are still available.
